After he was commissioned to build the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, Richard Meyer sat facing the hill on which the museum would be erected, simply to look at the colors in different seasons and figure out in which direction to place the central axis of the buildings. All this, for them to embrace the landscape and its colors. Today the Getty Museum is one of the most interesting contemporary architectural works of the United States and perhaps of the entire world. It has a unique tone of white, and a strip of violet that recalls shades of colors only present in autumn. This is the story of how careful observation to detail and inspiration are born from within. It can take a long time, or it can happen in an instant, but it does not matter. What is certain is that integrity and closeness to the heart, which take place when we remain open and sensitive, ensure that the actions that come from it are mindful and directed to personal and collective goodness. To seek worthiness in the life we are living and to understand why some of our behaviors follow one another without interruption is a way to deconstruct the pattern and finally take ownership of ourselves. Life for me is essentially a terrain of grace on which a long dance takes place and where each of us is a protagonist but also a sustainer of the dance of others.
